I had hoped to get some more material together this year for Christmas as I had planned on performing at a coffee house venue in December. But the event was canceled, and I never really finished working out the pieces I've arranged. There were going to be four, all of them either entirely original or at least original arrangements. As it is, this is the only recording I have of one of them. It's one of the first songs I ever wrote (either second or third) and was included on a demo I did in the early 90's. Prelude; Crystal is a cut from that demo played on a Celebrity I used to own. It's a little lengthy as I was trying to tell a story and wanted it to sound complete. I've tweaked it just a hair since then, but this recording holds up fairly well considering how green I was at the time. I envisioned a Christmas tale with a little "Connecticut-Yankee-in-King-Arthur's Court" flavor; as if a modern person dis-illusioned with the "season's neon glare" was given, without explanation, the opportunity to personally witness the events of that first Christmas.

I've provided links to my Soundclick and my ning page.

I hope you all have a wonderful and Merry Christmas!

Prelude; Crystal

Nice! It certainly does have the feel you were going for! A wonder-full tune for the season.

Thanks guys!

I meant to add in the original post that the Prelude is obviously more than a little inspired by Robert Frost; especially Stopping By Woods On A Snowy Evening.
