Location: Fortson, GA | I recently acquired an Ovation Viper 3 and I've noticed that the tone control does not work when the bridge pick-up is selected, turning the tone control does not change the tone at all when the bridge pick-up is selected. The tone control works when the neck or the middle pick-up is selected. Does anyone have an original wiring diagram for the Ovation Viper 3 Solid Body Electric Guitar?
Thanks |

Location: Scotland | It would be easy to hook up the tone pot to the bridge pickup if you want, but I'm pretty sure this is intentional and not a fault. There was never an owners manual produced for the Viper 3 but I have a typed "temporary" manual. I'll check that, but I think they planned to have the Viper 3 function like a Strat, where the bridge pickup does not have a tone control |

Location: Scotland | Check Ovationtribute.com, there's a Viper Manual there. My typed version is 95% identical apart from the obvious and only differences such as the 3 mini toggles and third pickup. The manual confirms that the bridge pickup is not connected to the tone control |

Location: Fortson, GA | Never mind Paul, I found the Viper Manual but it's just for the 2 pickup version. |
