Joined: November 2006 Posts: 3969 | Usually 1-3/4" or wider. Standard Ovation nut with is 1-11/16". Finger style players usually prefer 1-3/4 to 1-7/8" widths. Classicals are 2", I believe. | ||

There have been some that were 1 1/2, and I'd call them narrow. Mosrite, Travis Bean (1 1/2 and their wide was 1 11/16) and a couple of others I can't recall. Some of the wide variations that are out there now, like Collings are 1 23/32 I think. | ||
