Location: Columbus, Ohio | I have a 1990 Ovation Celebrity Deluxe, CC257. That the preamp has died for the low E string. Does anyone have 1 for sale or know where to find 1 ? |

| Welcome. If it's just one string that you're not getting a signal from, then it's likely NOT the pre-amp, but a bad piezo in the pickup/saddle assembly. That's a much cheaper fix. For overseas-made Ovations, you need to contact your local Ovation dealer and they can order a replacement pickup/saddle assembly for you. |

Location: Columbus, Ohio | I just replaced the original pickup with a new Fishman AGO-094. I replaced the pickup after reading this forum, because the low E was dead with the original pickup. Seems odd that both pickups are dead in the same location. |

| Well, that changes things.
Those pre-amps are a few generations old now, so unless somebody that reads this board has an extra one, you're best bet is to keep an eye on eBay and CraigsList. Sometimes people part out an old trashed guitar, or sell a broken guitar as a project, and you can pick one up that way. Sorry dude, and good luck. |

Location: Columbus, Ohio | Hey,
As it turns out it was the pickup. I contacted Ovation about the issue and they sent me a new pickup. It sounds great now !
Just my luck to get a second pickup (Fishman) that has also bad. |
