Location: Michigan | i am contemplating looking at a model 1151 standard balladeer 12 string.the seller says it is in perfect condition and comes with a factory ovation hardshell case.he wants $300.00 for it.
can anyone give me some info on this model?i like low action guitars and fairly small necks.i have a 1598merb 1 and i love the neck and the way it plays and the setup on it is very low for a 12 string.this one does not have any electronics on it,is that the way this model only came.the price sounds nice to me but i cant find anything out about the specks on it.per the serial #494848 it was made in 1995.would this be a u.s.a. model?
any input would be appreciated . GWB |

I am guessing that an 1151 would be quite similar to a 1751 without the preamp.
The price list in the 'reference' section sez that they were made from 94 to 99.
Of course the best advice is to go Play it and see if you fall in love...
Hey, for $300 it sounds like a deal.
Oh, it probably has a 14 fret neck joint and a 1-7/8" nut.
And we want pictures. :p |

Location: NW of Philadelphia | Def. go look at it. OMA is right, it looks like my 1751 sans preamp, only prettier. |

Location: Boise, Idaho | I also have a 1751. It's your basic Ovation 12. No frills, but sounds great and plays as easily as any other 12 I've played. |
