Bling vs. Monochrome. Intricate vs. Stealth. Analog vs. Digital. OldSchool vs. NexGen. Which one is better? Y'all can decide that while you're sitting around the stove knitting your doilies. :)

'87C is considered a classic and since it is over 20 years old they are not as readily available.

An '87C in excellent shape is easily worth $1200-1500.

I just got an 07, and it's everything everybody says it is. Great sound, great looks, subtle and understated, but elegant in appearance. Comfortable to play, and it doesn't slip off your knee.

You mean like this one! :D

It's not for sale, but I couldn't resist.

'87s will be harder to find. '07s can be snapped up fairly easily. I spent a few days babysitting Flacky's '07 and it's a nice guitar. For the price you can pick them up for at the moment, you won't be disappointed.

I am surprise by you saying a 87C is harder to get, weren't there a lot more 87s made? I own one of them.

Yeah... But they were made 22 years ago.

Many have died a cruel death, and others are owned by people like Patch, who are happy to keep them.
Relatively new 07C's are being traded around because of the economy... and they are New!
Once they are 10 or 20 years old, the people that have them will be keeping them too. :D
