Location: Maryland | I am a rookie here looking for a nice Ovation guitar. What is the difference between a standard balladeer or a Legend? I am considering a contour bowl design. Is the balladeer made in the USA? |

If you are talking about the New 'AX' Balladeer, they are made in Korea.
All guitars are different, different models have differences in design.
But if you are talking about the difference between a Deep Contour "X" Braced USA Legend 2077LX,
and a Deep Contour "X" Braced USA Balladeer 2771LX...
There is not that much difference.
You really need to go to "How to Choose Your Ovation" to get you basic concept...
Otherwise, you just buy what is available, and what you can afford.
If money is 'no object' just buy two or three that you think that you would like,
and return the ones you don't want! |

Location: Maryland | Thanks I that clears things up I did read the how to choose but it did not tell me that the LX was US made or that the AX was made in Korea
I think the legend is the better build from what I am reading. I do not like to by anything made overseas if I can help it |

I don't most of us know what AX are like.
My guess is start there is not that as the place making since 1966.
AX I do see trussrod covers on the headstock.
The bridges are bolted down. |

With OHSC + OP-X preamp.
Excellent condition...
Some fret wear...I can live with that.
$300.
Sounds great for a super shallow... |

is that a good deal or should I spend 700.00 on a Legend? what is the difference between the 2 besides gold tuners? |
