Congrats! IMHO this ist the best guitar ever produced by Ovation. And your pics are the best I've ever seen of this guitar. Thanks, it's a pleasure to look at them.

Nice! I never noticed the black stripe down the back of the neck: carbon?

Nop ! . . . it's wood. Not a carbon. . .

Pretty certain it's a strip of carbon fiber. My Preacher 12 string had the same thing and it was very very obvious that it was carbon. Iffy, who has that guitar now can tell you the same thing....

I'm not sure if it is Carbon or Graphite and if the fibers are extruded or combed.
Is the Resin Binary or Polymorphic?

What do you think Wabbit?

Nice guitar Vic!

Now that that's settled, here's a question for the hive collective.
The TR cover screw on the backside of the headstock... was the original #47 built that way?
The 47RI is such a fine piece of work but that screw head catches my eye every time... like an after thought handyman repair.

Yes, as Mr. Moody states all the original slotheads had the TRC screw on the back of the headstock. A bad of black paint on the screw head makes it far less noticable.
