Lots of Ovations of all different sizes, bracings, tops, and vintages. Lots of different wood boxes with different tops, bracings, backs and sides, nut widths, and manufacturers. Joined: April 2009 Posts: 42 Location: Maryland | I did use the search feature and what I mostly found was people talking about the feel of the bowl vs the actual tone of the bowl compared to a traditional deep bowl. It seems that the contour bowl is good for people that are not skinny or sit down players but did not feel well for playing while standing. I don't recall finding more than one opinion on the actual tone differences. I like a deep rich tone | ||

I'm some ways it's easier to hunch around and hang on to. . Joined: May 2008 Posts: 4996 Location: Phoenix AZ | The contour bowl is superior to the deep bowl in every way. Contour bowl is more comfortable sitting, more comfortable standing, it doesn't slip off your knee and to top it off, it sounds better. | ||
