I've also seen the 2000 Collector's called a "millenium" model, even though it wasn't.

2000C has "Collectors" inlaid in maple at the 12th fret. Lacewood top. I love mine. Never heard it called a millenium before, but anything is possible. If you can get more details, we can probably narrow it down more.

Very recently I saw a Craigslist posting for a 2000 Millennium and just 'shrugged it off' as mislabeling.

Sounds like Dweezil is an Ovation snob. I play a celebrity, I am NOT a collector, and it servse me just fine.

Ovations are Ovations. Can;t we all just get along?

All Ovations are not created equal. It's just a fact.
If yours suits your needs and you are satisfied with it... well, there you go. It's great to be content.

...and yes, he is. As am I.

Amen there, Steve!
I think that if you do a search for the word 'snob'... I said quite the same thing.
I have a list of 47 guitar that I have owned in the past three years.
There are quite a few Celebrity's on that list.

[I don't play that much better on a $3000 Adamas than I do on a $112 Celebrity]

Nikon, you sound like my wife. Are you sure you're from Ohio? I have 16 different Ovations and I mean different. I've been trying to explain all the differences to my wife for the last several years, but she thinks "a guitar's a guitar" and doesn't even want to agree that a 12 string is different from a 6. The only difference to her is by the color. Fortunately she likes "the blue one." Differences in the top and bowl size make for a big difference in sound. Differences in necks make for big differences in how they play.

All those things I say about my wife are jokes, too, unless I happened to say something nice.

After zooming to 400%, it appears to have 'Collector' on the 12th fret. If so, that's a 2000 Collector talked about above. Also if it's in very good condition, that's not a bad price. Go ahead and request more pics!

But I've been wrong before...

Here's my initial 2000 Collector report/review.

It is a 2000 Collector's... Not a Millennium.

But Millennium sounds so much cooler!
Anybody wanna email the seller and see if he changes it? :p

That wouldn't be bad in good shape with a case.

Here's a post about the best looking Ovation of all time and I nominated my 2000 ... and included visual evidence.

P.S. The pearloid buttons are no longer on there ... I put some of Templeman's grained ivoroids on and they look killer.
