Just prior to AI, I started working on Jim Croce's intro/riff in "Peace Train". I thought I pretty much had it down.

Then after sitting through Matt's superb sessions, I rededicated my efforts. I think I now have it nailed. That gave me a sense of accomplishment and nurtured a commitment to go beyond just being a 'thumb strummer'.

I'm now working on finger picking "Tears in Heaven" and enjoying a rewarding redirection in my learning process. Not easy for me, but rewarding in appreciating the efforts and time it takes to broach that next 'chasm'.

So, where are ya at...?

Nothing as intricate as what you are working on.I've been working on the intro to "I've seen a face". Have it down pretty well but need a little more speed in the fingers.

Working on my 5th Adrian Legg piece, The Irish Girl. Just yesterday ran through my set list, currently at 25 solo fingerstyle pieces in the bag.

Also working on some Isato Nakagawa tunes.

I continue to improve.

I'm working on the solo to Comfortably Numb - so I can teach it to Nicky. My fingers are getting a workout with all of those bends that Gilmour uses.

Gotta dust off the break from "Lady Marmalade" before the gig season starts. That's about it.

Not so much specific songs (tho I am polishing up a couple that darkbarguitar and I plan to record) as just laying down rhythm loops to practice improvised leads and alternate chord voicings over them.

I am by any means a good player but I did manage the simple riff in Garden Party, the intro riff on Amie and I will be soon tackling the middle riff on Amie.

I will get them on the 1767 before I attempt the 12.

I'm working on the intro to Tuesday's Gone, Metallica's version of Lynerd Skynerd's classic. It's a bit of a stretch for a campfire strummer, but I've got it at about 3/4 speed. Should be polished by summer

footprints, I have a Lowden S23C that I have had tuned to open "D" for the last year and it is a monster.

Been contemplating a sale due to the Collings being a fickle group that don't take to strangers. A bit more than the 1537 but a real pleaser. Probably in the $2200 or so range. Let me know if you have any interest and I can post up some pics.

Glen Campbell's version of Gordon Lightfoot's "Last Time I Saw Her". Hey, What a balladeer for if not a ballad?

When Sunny Gets Blue. I used to play it in A, but I never tried singing it before. Now I'm singing, so I had to relearn the guitar part in F#. I did it for some friends the other day, and although I'm not quite there yet, they thought it sounded good. One guy blew me away when he said my voice sounded like Peggy Lee. (I think he was just lying to get me to come down on the price of a guitar he's interested in.)

Thanks for that link, Johnny.
That gentleman is good, I like his version.
Now is I could just do the darn fingerpicking.
