I'm coming to Fort Walton Beach/Pensacola area on April 18 thru 21 or so and would love to meet with some Fan Clubbers in the area. While I won't have any of my meager stable with me I would look to drool over yours....and I promise I'll clean up after myself. ;)

Anita,

Can't help ya way up yonder. But if you ever get near the Tampa Bay area, please give a call. Patty and I would love to let ya 'clean up'. ;)

Besides, with enough notice, we might could even stir up a min-jam. Wouldn't be the first time TJ and darkbarguitar had a Boiler Room Ribeye Steak 'n Cheese...

I'll look forward to that. I love to meet people, but I gotta warn ya, I'm nuts. I have a warped sense of humor. Having been a cop for 30 years it just comes naturally.
And now ya make me hungry  We will be good friends, I can see that.

Ft Walton is about as far from Gainesville as is Miami (about 300 miles). If you get to North Central FL/Jax/Orlando area you're more than welcome at Casa G8r. Mrs. G8r loves to cook for OFCers!

In P-cola you'll actually be closest to OFC member gulfcoast.

You just have to eat for 3 or 4 people... which is not a problem in my case!

Amelia is on the other side of Fla and in a different time zone even.. I believe where you're going is called Florabama. We're working on the northern migration anyway. Maybe next time.

Redneck Coast is what the folks in Tennessee call it.

Pretty good form on that bellyflop, though. The temptation is to cheat and enter with the chest slightly ahead of the abdomen, minimizing impact to the groin. It appears more painful than it really is that way. Looks as if cousin is evenly distributing pain to his body and face as well, which should earn him extra points.

Too bad you're gonna be 1 week too early for the "Interstate Mullet Toss".

you may wish to extend your stay!

The Interstate Mullet Toss is an opportunity to share fish with the Alabama neighbors.

Sorry that I mis-named the Redneck Riviera... It was early in the morning.

Redneck Riviera is correct. Or, L.A. (Lower Alabama). My dad lives in Ft Walton Beach (retired from Eglin AFB). Nice area with nice beaches and good food, but VERY different from the rest of Florida, IMHO.
