Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Here is the 1981 1158-1 Custom Legend 12 String that I just got from Patch. It was delivered several days ago but out weather has been lousy and prevented pictures until today. These were only made from 1978 to 1981. Beautiful sound and awesome abalone. Tony, you're right, it's special!
Here is the Album on the ning site:
12 Fret Sunburst Custom Legend
Thanks to Patch and also to Iffy who alerted me about this and helped me to get back in the doghouse (just kidding...) :D ;)
Enjoy! |

MAN this guitar sounds even more gorgeous than it looks. Enjoy it Mike. I'm glad it made the trip OK. |

Location: Cherry Hill, NJ | Wow, that is a beauty! I've owned my CL since 1982, and would love to have a 12 like that. A few years back I bought a 6758 LX 12 string, from Al. I know and appreciate the craft of an Ovation 12 string. Tell us. What is that neck like on that baby? |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Thanks Tommy. The neck is wide but comfortable and in mint condition: this guitar was not played much over it's life so far...the nut looks to have been replaced at some point and the spacing was not done correctly...I will be sending this back to the factory for a spa treatment by summer: adjust action, lube tuners, bone nut and saddle, etc.
Thanks for asking...
