Location: Warren,Pa. | The Elite Special and Baladeer Special were satin finishes. The baladeer Special had a beautiful burst available toward the end of it's run. I remember being on a factory tour and stopping dead in my tracks when I saw them.
Anyway, the satin tends to become "polished" where your arm rubs on the top after use over time. |

Location: Pewaukee, WI | I have the S771 with a cedar top (satin finish) and a 93 1868-4C with satin finish top. Also, since they had to put a new top on my new 97C, I ordered it with a satin finish.

I really liked my S771. When I sold it, it was starting to get a little glossy where my arm rested on it, though. |

Location: Pewaukee, WI | My 1868-4C is basically a production version of the 93C, but with the triangle inlays (maple) instead of the collector's inlay on the neck. Same white, red, white body binding. And SSB. |
