for me anyway.

Sittin here drinking coffee on the beach and chillin. SWMBO and myself arrived yesterday afternoon and Unca Beal graciously picked us up from thr airport and dropped us off at the Amelia Oceanfront B&B which literally sits right on the beach. Very relaxing and soothing and gives me some alone time with wifey before I COMPLETELY IGNORE her starting Weds afternoon.

Went to 29s last night for dinner and then walked over to the Florida House and listened to bluegrass while drinking Grand Mariners with Lia and Bobbie Joe....great timr but made for a slow moving morning,,,,hence the coffee on the beach.

Anyway, the down time is very nice but I am gettin antsy to get things goin. Probably gonna call Unca Beal this afternoon and bum a guitar off of him.

I heard that a few more unfortunately had to drop out which is a bummer but I hope everyone who did so is ok!

I am sure others will pick up this thread as things get moving.

Just printed my boarding pass.

I'm on a redeye firstclass to Atlanta at 1140 tonight. Quick hop to JAX and I'll be on the island around 930-1000.

T28, I'll call you then ...

No but I did finish off a bottle at the house over the weekend before headin out for AI. Smooth stuff....gonna have to keep a close eye on Lia with that stuff floating around

My bar tab last night would have bought SEVERAL bottles of Grand Mariner or Matusalem!! Your way is way more economically friendly ;)

Dave, sounds good!

From stephent28: "...listened to bluegrass while drinking Grand Mariners with Lia and Bobbie Joe"

Were those Seattle Mariners? Other mariners are hard to drink...like, for instance "Ancient Mariners" Too dry. If any of those Grand Mariners had a few Grand Marniers in 'em they might have gone down a tad smoother!

APOLOGIES! I just get a real kick out of it when typoes put certain images into my head! And, of course the reason is that I'm the worst offender!!!

HAVE a GREAT time!

Alan, I blame the misspelling on the Grand Marnier and the pretty girls that kept setting them down in front of me!

Thanks for keeping a tight rein on me. I always hate to see unintentional grammatical or spelling errors.

I have a feeling that if you keep tabs on this thread over the next week if will slowing start to degenerate.

Stephen, Beal and group: I am sure you all will have a great time...I am so bummed that it did not work out for me this year but it couldn't be helped...At least V still has her job: no time off and no vacations for a few months but it could be worse...
I will be thinking of you all: beware of the Huddle House...tell Matt I said hello...
Enjoy the time w/each other!

This is the 2nd year in a row where work got in the way of this for me. It really sucks but life happens.

I know you guys and gals will have a great time. Hoist a few for the rest of us.

Mike - same thing happened to me. My company laid off over half of our sales force, leaving just a few of us to cover the whole thing. I'm just thankful it wasn't me. I went through the whole layoff thing a couple of years ago.

It's been just over a year for me and besides a few odd jobs things aren't looking any brighter. To all that can make it, have a great time and say Hey to Matt for me. Tip a couple of beers, rums and a scotch or three and think of those who are absent but will be there next year!

I'm catching a redeye out of LAX tonight ... I meet up with lady stonebobbo in Philadelphia (she's flying from SFO) and we then hop to JAX from there.

I'm hoping to be able to write my Guy song while traveling. I've sorta put it off until now. Oops.

We'll miss all y'all who can't make it. We'll raise one in your honor. And I'm looking to see who is gonna pull a moody and show up in the bar unannounced. ;)

It's like season tickets on the 50-yard line for your favorite team - passed down from generation to generation. Or your stellar collection at a jam induces others to shell out the big bucks. ;)

Hey Brian, I am looking forward to meeting you also and all the Amelia Island newbs  . Gonna be a rocking good time and I am just sorry that some of last years patrons such as Beggin, Mike, Blues, and Elgin won't be able to make it along with some others that I was really looking forward to meeting like TJ.....guess Iffy and AJ will have to do!

Oh yeah, just got back from hearing Davis at O'Kanes rocking it big time for Saint Paddy's day. The place was jammed packed to the max.

I am not sure if Beal made it or not? He was a bit under the weather on Monday so I did not bother him today but thought I might see him tonight.

If he was there we might have been 2 feet apart and never seen each other....it was that crazy!
