Also running my hand up and down the sides they are like butter this fret board isn't going to take any skin off you hand any where. I'm sure they're must be some 1861 owners out there, are you feeling this Ovation or is it just me. Just to let you know I can be very 'different'. I accutally like the Ultra Series 1512 and the Celeberty CDX44. Is this 1861 a sweet guitar like it's saying to me or will I get burned. I'd be trading my Celebrity CDX44 for it. Thanks for you import Anita

I really love mine, and plugged in, she's just as gutsy as her "bigger" sisters. If you like the feel of the V neck, and she's calling your name, no reason not to. (And mine's so much lighter that I can play forever standing up...) --Karen

I just sold it away to "upgrade"... Later on in life I realized that I shoulda kept that one. With the solid-top and the SSB it sounded quite nice all by itself. And mine sounded great plugged-in with the OP-24+ in it. And the SSB is really comfortable.

My Adamas neck feels like this. Thank you all, I was fretting over what to trade for it. I'm also thinking of trading my O Ultra 1512 on something too. Anita

There are some tidy write-ups/reviews on the tinterweb about the Ballader and if you go to Utube here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PkVq20r2P2g you will hear one tested quite well. dave3dg
