Custom Legend has more doodahs on the fretboard.

Elite has more sound-holes.

That's an older one. Brown bowl and old style square preamp. If it is in "excellent condition" as the seller says, it should be a great guitar for that price. Though there are 3 days left and the price will go up.

It will have a different sound for sure. Different bracing and the center hole. It should sound really nice.

Flag, it's a different sound. The Legend in the auction looks to be in great shape. It's a deeper bowl than your LX Elite so it will feel slighter bigger to you. But it should have a deeper sound. The OP 24 has been around for about 25 years. Ovation has redesigned it, added bells and whistle, but have never really improved the basic function. It's a good preamp.

Multi hole vs. center round hole? Different strokes for different folks. Better or worse are not words that apply. They are just different flavors of ice cream.

I've got both an A braced Legend and a deep bowl Elite (87C). Which do I prefer? Aw man, don't push me on it. I love them both......

Flag, don't ever appologise for asking questions! We LOVE helping people. It gives us a chance to show off our knowledge, or in some cases, LACK of knowledge. (But we still love to show off.) :D

But seriously, I'm sure I speak for all of us when I say, we are more than glad to give any help or advice that we can. And just my 2 cents worth - I love the sound of a deep bowl Legend.

Hi flag, I happened to own a CS247 Quilted Maple.

Sold it jan this year.
Nice guitar plugged in. Sound preatty dull to my ears unplugged.
Much better if you go for a legend.

I bought my daughter one just like Riccardo had. His assessment is the same as mine. Unplugged it sounds stiff, very similar to the 99 Collector I had. It never seemed to open up.
