| That place is a real icon. Been there once real glad I walked in there now. Wish I spent more time looking around now, and talked with the owner. But when I was there it was busy and I like that memory of the place I guess.
I am very sad to hear we might loose this one. |

You know, they are turning that whole part of manhattan into a tourist safe disney land. Gawd, I hate bloomberg and the real estate developers, they're trying to turn NYC into a playground for the rich, like a super wealthy hong kong, where people do nothing but consume and buy and consume and buy and consume and buy ... I hate to say it, but I'm glad those rapacious wall streeters got whacked, and not hard enough for me ... I am sad about main street though ...

Shame I won't get to go there, sure sounds like an interesting place.
Change is not necessarily progress.

" ... another one bites the dust ..."
" ... see paradise, put up a parking lot." (Not that Manny's or that part of NYC is paradise, but it does have some cultural history. Americans tend to have a very short view of history.) |
