| One thing I forgot to mention is that another guitar player that I love is Martin Simpson. I actually met him in a tiny place called Old Songs in a tiny town called Voorheesville, NY. He's a fabulous acoustic player.
Another thing I forgot to mention is that a few months ago, I almost bought a used Applause on Fleabay. It was a true fixer-upper. The fretboard was worn, there was only one string on the guitar and there appeared to be some damage.
It was an AA model from the 1970s (I think it was from the 1970s). I was advised not to purchase it because the repairs to it might have been more than the guitar was worth.

| Dweezil, I have an autographed copy of Martin's "Prodigal Son". When I asked him what kind of advice he could give to a guitar player who is just starting to learn. He said to me with a twinkle in his eye, "Just play!"

He has a guitar course running in the UK in the summer and I'm thinking of going. |

I went to a Fiddle and Strings daycamp for a week last year. It was a local camp and cost about $375, and it was money well spent, IMHO.
