Do they sing in the dead of night? Or cruise at an altitude of 80,000 ft?

Strike while the carbon is hot, I always say.

CA fans will say they don't sound plastic enough.

Man! Did you see the prices? $1,600 to $1,900, plus an extra $140 if you want a pickup installed! I think I'll stick to what I've got!

Just talked with another person that played one at NAMM. Although he did say you can't really hear much there, it tended to sound more like the Taylor end of the spectrum to him. Not a place I really want to be. The hollow neck and sound port in the headstock looked interesting though.

I played these as well. Construction looked good, setup was nice, but you couldn't really tell how it sounded in such a noisy fubar hall. One of the most interesting aspects is that the neck is hollow, and that's a little extra soundhole where the TRC would normally be. Very odd. Given this the guitar was extremely light weight, maybe too light to actually be comfortable. Interesting idea, but I'm not sure why I would need one of these. I still like CA much better.

Actually it is... Carbon is everywhere. All you need is the machine to spin it.
Then make the cloth and slap some resin on it.

What they charge you to do the work is expensive.
But the raw material is cheap.
It's not like it is exotic hardwood or something.

BTW-- All three are ugly.

I wonder if I could make one out of all wood and show it to their Fan site?

Y'all keep in mind that it isn't the costs of the materials and it's only a bit more of the assembly costs - mostly it is the Marketeers judging what the market will support!

As far as the Carbon Fibre - I understand that the majority of the CF being made is earmarked for Gov't Contracts so supply is is fairly low right now.

I've played them too.

For A LOT less you get WAY more guitar in a CA Cargo. NOT EVEN close.
