When I first read this, I thought Beal might be commenting on the chain of In-N-Out Burgers in Southern California, the best fast foot hamburgers in the world. I've been eating them since the early 60's (store No. 2 was within a half mile of my parent's house) and in 1978, coincidently bought a house in San Dimas next to the mini-ranch owned by the founder, just after he passed away and his sons took over and began expanding the business significantly. They've spread to Vegas and St George UT, as well as into parts of Arizona. Can't wait for them to get to Colorado.

No guitars so far this year but I did pick up one of the sweetest guitar amps ever made...a 1959 Fender Tweed Deluxe.

O's and A's..... all gone... :( the 1115 ships out Monday, and is already racked, stacked, and packed.

still have the "used to be a Turser" electric..

two nice loaners from members here:

M-862 Midi Balladeer Shallow Bowl from Slydog..along with my old Crate CA125 Acoustic amp I sold him years ago...

It's Alive! finally figured out the Charvel/Shadow unit...sorta... it's a slow signal compared to a Roland but it works... I think someone once said "latency from hell" steep learning curve on this thing at least for me.. wanna hear a guitar sound like a Hammond B3 Organ? voicings and string assignments and levels/signal strength on this are rough to figure out.. especially with just the quick start guide.. and really easy to make things sound REALLY BAD...and no other documentation or instructions... anyone have a manual for this thing?

and a gorgeous "MINT" 1763-4 from Iffy... just got it strung up tonight with a set of High tension composites.... awesome... just went through "Classical Gas" about 10 times... my playing sucks as usual, but the guitar sounds great.... now gonna try the other 8 or 10 songs I know.

Thanks guys!

Glenn

Glenn,

Just remember that that CA is a loaner. It's the only c-a-w classic I have. All I ask is that you leave the 'Classical Gas' in it when it comes back 'home'! So help me one of these days... I might learn my favorite song... Enjoy, my friend!

TJ,

How much patience do ya have? Maybe some smoked mackerel for some 'CG' lessons?

Johnny, whenever you want it to come home, it will be there... Thank You Very, Very Much!!!!

I was amazed at the condition of the case when it got here, it's like new as well... and then I opened it up and was blinded by the finish on the guitar... Shiniest Cedar Top I've ever seen.... your spa treatment must be something else.

like the old commercial asks...

"What's your secret?"

again THANKS!

Glenn

Glenn et al,

I posted this once before and am not sure if anyone tried my 'secret'.

I had tried mild soap/water, brand name cleaners, etc. One evening I was applying some Formby's Lemon Oil Treatment to a 1612-1 Custom Balladeer bridge (Riccardo is now the happy owner) when I noticed that I hadn't really cleaned the top well enough. Well, I just continued to finger-rub apply the FLOT to the top and was amazed at the cleansing action and depth of the renewed finish. I then just buffed the top until I saw no residual oil. As a final step I used Dunlop 65, which I find is not necessary; only as a quick rebuff after playing.

So my 'secret' is out again.

She can come 'home' when you get back on your feet/fingers/frets. I'm in no hurry. Just try to wear her out gently...

BTW, I'd love to have ya post a plugged in audio if ya can. I never plugged her in since I just got into the amps. Your ol' Shen 60 was the power during the Sea Cow Serenade. Sweet.. thanx!

Wow. To find a real '59 in that shape is fabulous. Gems like these should stay this way for who knows how many more years because people like us now appeciate what they are. These represent Leo when he was still building for the CW crowd and a few R&R acts. The explosion of garage bands was still a few years away. Thanks for sharing the pic.
