How 'bout projecting some positive vibes his way? He could really use 'em!
BTW, if you call him, don't expect much conversation. He can barely speak.

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Good morning group and thanks so much for the get well wishes...my fever hit 103.2 last night...down to a balmy 100 this morning...my throat feels like a barnyard and I am hoping not to cough any more for the rest of my life...my whole body hurts...if this isn't the flu it's a good copy. I really do appreciate the good thoughts, and I'm hoping that none of you get this mess...it's no fun! SWMBO shipped the 1687's for me yesterday so they should get to the mothership tomorrow.
Anybody know what was in those flu vaccines this year, cuz it sure wasn't vaccine....perfect! |

I know what you mean about not wanting to cough anymore. It hurts.
I had my first 'flu jab last year and I watched my colleagues drop like flies around me. Worst I got last winter was a 2 day cold, so for me, it was good.
Our summer has just ended and the next batch of flu shots are already being talked about.
Trouble is, they can't vaccinate against all the strains. Mike, the strain you ended up catching obviously wasn't on the vaccine's 'hit list'.
Hot lemon, ginger, garlic and honey. Tastes damn awful. So awful, your body gets better just so it doesn't have to drink it any more. |

Location: Blue Ridge Mountains | Day 8 of this crud finds me weak but on the mend...I have not been this sick since I was a boy...the hospitals are full and local business's are hard hit with sick employees...this is a seriously nasty bug!
I had no voice for over three days...just got it back somewhat this morning. If you haven't had this, I sincerely hope you don't get it. It is widespread...

Location: Capital District, NY, USA Minor Outlying Islands | I got the flu shot last november, then on the last day in Brunei in Feb, one of my nephews infected me with a nasty south east asian viruses. Not his fault, but I went thru the same symptoms, plus, everyone of my joints ached. Holy smoke it was incredible.
With a flu the first days are the worst, but to get rid of the whole mess it takes about 5 weeks.
Also, those flu shots in the fall only combat the strains the CDC thinks will be prevalent in the US. Obviously, this year, some of these asian flus migrated to the states late in the season.
Look at it this way, you've got partial immunity for next year. |

Ahh yes the aches and joint pains...lets not go there...
Good news is the 1687's are at Mother and getting spa'd as we speak...I've asked that they be kept as stock as possible...I'll keep you all updated...
