Location: Tennessee | Cooling looking CL. There's writing that maybe has some clues .. perhaps a Mars Music promotion they did? It was the big 30th Anniversary year. Maybe one of the people that wrote on the label will chime in here. But basically, yeah, I'll bet there were 12 of these made with the features, including the gaudy MOTS truss rod cover (and I love gaudy) and the rosette which is reminiscent of the 1996 Collectors (not to be confused with the 30th Anniversary "book" editions of 1996). Which is probably all that's different from a regular 1769 of the era. |

But as sheer, bizarre coincidence might have it, I have something Bookish in my sights, but it's taking some of the most convoluted trading skills I've got to try and make it work. ;) Don't jump to conclusions, but wish me luck. |

Location: Phoenix AZ | Thoroughbred Music was a chain in Tampa, Orlando and Nashville. They celebrated their 20th anniversary in 1996 and had this run of 12 guitars built and numbered. It was Ovations 30th anniversary, so that's why the labels said Ovation 30th Anniversary, Thoroughbred 20th Anniversary. The chain was later bought out by Sam Ash. Someone else on this board has one of these CL's, I've seen photos. |
