The tuner buttons/knobs would have nothing to do with the tone, or sustain, or any of that stuff...

But they might change the way you Feel while you are playing!

and nuts, and bolts, and wires, and lots of chrome thingies and doo dads, all of which can be changed out with more chrome, gold plate, or whatever your preference and budget might allow.

I've had several original Schallers break.
Not a one since I purchased replacements. Temp's stuff is good.

Agree. Seems over the past few years Schaller quality has dropped off. I stripped out three worm gears on my U681-12.

My Viper-T had gold buttons that someone had dumped glue on, and they were terribly pitted. When I got the 'T' paintjob on it, I replaced them with flat black Sperzels, which lock. It looks a lot better now, I have a 1 of a kind Viper, and I can change strings quicker.
