So here goes the saga:
I'm a pacemaker fanatic, been chasing the sound of my old one (damaged)for a couple years now. Got a great refurb by mothership a while back with Op pro and new bracing but different sound although very nice.
So in Oct (I think) I bought the black Pacemaker Patch posted here, trying to get that old sound.

Once again... USPS did their thing and caved in the top! Luckily Patch had it insured, and the claims process began. All of a sudden.. Canadian postal strike.. just try to get paperwork completed! Even my member of Parlaiment could n't light a fire under these Cliff Claverns!

Meanwhile I did what I had to do and shipped it off to mothership for their magic. I changed the top from Black to white and had them use A bracing like the older ones.

I'd like to get to the point now...
Patch is a solid guy. Through all the mess he was always there, returning my calls and e-mails, calling USPS, and reassuring me he would make it right, which he did, in spades. This guy really cares about his reputation and fellow OFC 'er.

It goes without sayin that John Budny and the crew went the full mile and now I have the guitar I've been chasing for some years now.

Heres the before and after. ">

What a great story! And a testament to why it's best to deal with fellow OFCers given the opportunity. Kudos to Patch, but I would've expected nothing less.

That is one beautiful guitar! Congrats to JB, KK & the rest of the folks in CT, but most of all congrats to you.

Halleluia!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Please tell me it sounds as good as it looks?

And please tell me it has the old-style sound you've been doggedly hunting?

Can all of you believe it? We actually got a parcel service to pay up with their insurance! And all it took was five months worth of phone calls.

MAN O MAN I am so happy to bring this saga some closure.

Congrats Murph! At long last....Congrats!

About the sound... OH YEAH BABY.

UM if any moderator wants to help by deleting my first attempt at this post that'd be ok by me. I still don't have it right though

Something magical about Pacemakers. Think I'll hold onto my 3rd one. I'm kinda slow, sometimes.
