I have just bought a project double neck Celebrity here.
Will probably just end up being a wallhanger.

Was there a US made double neck?

I have only ever seen Celebrities for sale

Quick research tells me that they are all Celebrities... (Except maybe the Custom Shop Original)
I'm sure at some time the folks in Connecticut made one or two before they shipped 'em overseas.
But they have two models, and one is more Celebrity than the other....
The red one is a CSD225, and the blue one is the CSE225

Notice the ends of the fretboards... The CSE blue is a solid top, the CSD red is plywood.
As far as Ovation's website sez, those are the only colors each model comes in...

So which one did you get.

Interesting project Chris, zzzzz.

Art, not sure it has apparently been refinished.
The seller reckoned it was a sunburst originally so who knows.

I'll assess it when I get it

Yes there are USA made double necks.. Tim in Tidewater has/had one, check his gallery. Very spendy as I recall. I also remember seeing the form used to hand-lay the bowl at the factory.

Jim, how's things?? There were also some asian market double necks made......CSD215's ? or something like that. I had one that I bought from our Hawaian Connection a few years back. The one I had was quite well made in a super shallow bowl. Great stage guitar. Also more color choices. They had a blue one that looks just like the ones they have released into the American market now and they had a tobbacco burst that was more of a yellow color (the one I had) and they made a smoked black finish that looked quite interesting. As for the American made doubles I have never owned one but they are quite expensive and I think for the money if I was to do one again I would save the money and have the factory make me an adamas 1 double. That is if Fender says they can still make them. ? I would get more use out of it than one of the original slotheads for the same price.

There are some custom US made models out there. Tim has one. However, they're really expensive . . . like five figures if you can find a willing seller.

This was the production line USA model in the mid 90's. I've only seen a couple of them out in the general population.
