OK, I'll bite. No frets? How do you determine fingering positions?

That's really just a six string acoustic bass, isn't it?

I bet that would be something else in a contour bowl! ;) :D
How is it tuned, Mike? Is this one part of your stable, or are you just the surgeon in charge?

El Mariachi? Are you planning an appearance in an upcoming Robert Rodriguez directorial effort?

The Guitarron is a Mariachi Bass that is plucked and usually by hitting Octaves.

Fretles means you need to finger (Thumb?) the right positions but I believe you will only need to be in 3-5 places.

In your mind's ear try to hear the "Oom-Pah-Pah" of a Mariachi Bass.

Muchos Tacos!

I am repairing this for a Freind.

No harder to play than a double bass.

Among the most fun evenings I've had was following a Mariachi trio from bar to bar, paying for the first song in each to encourage others to hire them to stay and play.

.....the end of that evening gets a little foggy.
