Mine is caused by a couple of herniated discs in my neck. My neck pain used to annoy me but I've gotten so used to it that I can't remember what it was like before it started. So..............you got any neck probelms PEZ?

Its was a minor impact. My back has been sore since I been trying to do cleaning in my house. It got out of hand as of the events of last year.

Strange!? Oh and I don't do Push-ups any more or anything for that matter. I'm becoming a true "old man"! Anyway, could have a Pinched nerve.

I had C5, C6 and C7 fused in March. It took a year to get the proper diagnosis. I had some quack doing decompression therapy on me for nearly six months. I decided to go to a different doctor and a simple x-ray revealed the problem.

Several things it could be....anything from carpal tunnel if you've been on the computer alot, to a pinched nerve. But being that it is biradial (both hands), a pinched nerve isn't likely. An MRI will be needed to fully diagnose the problem if it continues. It could be cervical stenosis, degenerative disc disease causing compression of the nerves, carpal, etc. But g8r is right. See a neurologist.

If you use computers a lot, or perform some other repetitive motion with your hands and wrists, you could have carpal tunnel syndrome. I think that's why my fingers are wimpy. I drop the pick and lose my grip in the left hand too. Now you guys have got me worrying about pinched nerves in the spine. Go here to see a list of other possible maladies that will make you feel worse. -Steve W.

It could be carpal tunnel or another repetitive use kind of problem. If I spend too much time typing on the computer I get sore finger joints and tingling. So, if it were me, I'd try some Ibuprofen and do no typing and little guitar playing for a couple of weeks. If it doesn't go away I'd see a doc.

Nearly paralyzed my left hand for almost a year while I "waited" for the numbness to go away. 95% of it eventually did but I still wake up in the middle of the night with numbness and sometimes while I am just reading or watching TV.....usually caused by the way I am resting my elbow which is were the nerve is. Finally spoke to a neurologist while he was treating my wife and he explained how the symptoms are caused and that the only real cure is surgery. I plan to have it done sometime around summer.
