Take a walk with me through the Adamas website as we look into their product offerings:

Door number one "30th Anniversary Models" sounds promising, but it briefly describes four models that go back to 2005. You can't buy them, so why aren't these under the "Discontinued models" tab? Hmmmm. One paw north. :(

Door number two list the Adamas signature models, all two of them. Thanks, Melissa for your support but where's everyone else? Anyone? The selection here is limited, almost embarassingly so. Two paws north. :( :(

Door number three lists 5 CVT models, which is doing better and showing some signs of life. But what about those of use who want a woven or SMT? Hmmmm. Half a paw north.

A quick peek behind the "Discontinued models" door shows more dead models than live ones. Third paw north. :( :( :(

Behind the "Custom Shop" door? Very cool and tempting, but it would be more tempting to know the list prices on some of the mods listed before I embarass myself in front of a dealer.

If you really want a non-CVT Adamas you either have to go through the custom shop or go used?

With three and a half paws north, it smells like something died?

Me thinks it's time that WE accept that Ovation is not producing - and won't be producing the types of guitars that appeal most to the general demographic of this board.

In terms of mass production models, GONE are the days of Shiny Bowl sound, Textured Top Adamas and haydaze of the Legend and Elites....

Get used to it, if you haven't already.

I hope Ovation continues to explore worthwhile technology like the iDea preamp, and guitars made from non traditional materials with a focus on acoustic tone but, in increasing circles these days, the emphasis in music is going to be on interface with p/c mediums. That's how music is being made and shared.

I don't understand what guitars and politically correct fortune tellers have to do with each other... But I hope the same hope you hope.

...oh, and keep the change...

I'm trying to figure-out if a, "Bite Me" is in order....

(I reserve the right to institute it at a later time)

Shoot first, sort it out later.

That reminds me, I had some excellent cannoli the other night, in a little family owned Italian place in Oregon City...

The Adamas models are now a featured part of the Ovation website. http://www.ovationguitars.com/?fa=series&sid=569. I'll bet the Adamas website and "separate" branding goes away.
