The surgeon says she's already experiencing vastly improved blood flow & her health should get steadily better. Needless to say, a great weight has been lifted off Glenn's shoulders. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers.

Tired, just left at shift change and talking w/incoming staff.. now sitting over at the Motel... 2 blocks from the hospital... when she gets to ccu.. I'll be able to stay in room w/her got some of her family from Tally and Madison coming over over the weekend... all good Old Florida/From Florida People.. her mother was a level 6 at the capitol, and personal secretary to 2 governors... then went to parks division... Her Grandfather opened up the Furniture stores and Department stores in Madison.. The Dr. has said that her cardiac output is already 35% Better... and that was her Cardiac Specialist.... Dr. Hess. Thanks for the prayers all, and AL/Slydog... Thanks Brother! don't let the news crews and trucks bother you too much over the next couple of days... Glenn they are going to let her have a little jello and/or broth in a little while.

Joined: April 2008 Posts: 498 | Heart surgery, transplants, and bypass have come so far since my father died waiting for a transplant in 96... as he was 6'4" tall and 250# and they have to pretty much match body size to get a heart big enough for the job.. and it was the middle of winter in New Haven/Stamford where we were living, and we were waiting for donor season, which is spring when all the big tough bikers go out cruisin without brain buckets on... and that is exactly what the surgeon's at Yale called it.. donor season.. They took out Char's infusion lines from her neck today.. removed the chest tube, have given her a couple of breathing treatments, sent her down to x-ray, which is now being evaluated by one of the fellows here... and if everything looks good.... she gets to come home tomorrow..Wednesday at the latest if all continues to look good... 6 days from a quadruple bypass... amazing! Dr. Hess told me that full transplant patients often go home now in less than 10-12 days... Thanks for the prayers all! Char says to tell you all thank you as well! Serge just came over to the Hospital and dropped off the guitars, since no-one at G8rBowl-II wanted the Fostex mixer/recorder I suggested he donate it to a Church or local garage band. Thanks for the welcome at the get-together.. hope to see and meet all and more of you again soon. Glenn
