Location: Sydney, Australia | I don't see the point of a SSB Adamas (which presumably coincides with why they didn't make many). The carbon fibre top is designed to enhance the sound quality of the guitar. However the SSB is to make it easier/more comfortable to play, albeit at the cost of tonal qualities. Seems to work in opposite directions. OR it's a lot of money to pay for enhanced stability/longevity. |

The other was an all-black SMT w/no eppies (VERY Sexy). |

Location: Budd Lake, NJ | When my day in the sun finally arrives, my "to-die-for" guitar will be an ssb Adamas. Why? Comfort. Capital C. My ssb Jewel does have her limitations, true, but plugged in you aren't aware of them.
I have seen a few shallow Adamases up for grabs, but I don't like the K-bar necks, or the "V"-shaped necks, either, so at some point I'll have to order one made the way I like them. (And it will be beauteous, trust me on that.)
In the meantime, if I spot one, I'll be sure to let you know.

Location: Germany | Here's a 1885 (12-string) currently for sale in Germany. The SS bowls pop-up from time to time on ebay. From 2004 to 2008 I recorded ten SS 6-strings and twelve SS 12-strings worldwide.

Location: Colorado Rocky Mountains | I regularly use an Adamas 1881 SSB in the band, and occasionally four other SSBs. I prefer the 1881, but the 1547 prototype I picked up from a fellow OFC member last year is also excellent. I am always plugged in and sound wise, you probably can't tell the SSBs from the deeper bowls. Coming through a monitor and earbuds, I sure can't. |

Location: GA USA | Otto's 12 string Adamas SSB was certainly a hit at g8rbowl. I've never felt like I wanted to own or even play a 12 string, but I played that one. Zilla played it Sunday AM and couldn't get over the sound. |

When I went to look at it, I was worried that it wouldn't sound full enough to keep me happy but after playing it and later A/Bing it with some deep bowl O 12s, there's no way I would give it up now. 'Course I haven't put it up side by side with an Adamas deep bowl 12 yet either.
