Since I am pretty sure I will be driving to the first Rocky Raccoon Memorial Black Hills of Dakota OFC gathering I might bring a few nice ones.

Can't believe that there is still a wide neck available.

well that guitar will probably stay with me.

I did this project to get my dream vision Adamas and I think I achieved the goal very nicely.

I sold #1 because I can't keep 2 guitars and to be honest I really can't afford to keep #8/8

I may have to gig with it a bit though to make sure....

that boost button sure is a sweet idea......

and the stealth look.....

BTW I doubt there will be any more limited OFC editions.....

Al should post it on eBay and CraigsList and it'll get a bunch pages of discussion here and get posted up multiple times.

That would be a real bugger, because they have been some of the most special guitars to come out of Ovation. I don't know what your process is for coming up with the specs, but it works. The Koa seemed to come out of left field, and the OFC II really pushes people's button. I hope you get another crack at it.

If you look at a map of the USA, you're not far off.

We have to get you some self-help books on marketing and sales promotion. Given your mantra, I figure "The Idiot's Guide" series would be most appropriate.

I thought about getting you gift certificate for a course with Dale Carnegie, but then I realized that the only likely outcome would be that poor man running screaming from the room.

When I finally met Al, he was pretty much like I expected. WYSIWYG. He didn't even try to sell me a LAV Koa. So I bought one. I don't know if I would have bought one if Al had turned out to be one of those slick marketing types.

pending payment these guitars are now gone.

if something changes I will let you know but I was assured "the check is in the mail"

much against my better judgement I sold the one I was to keep for myself.

so it looks like I will have to make an ofc III if it is just to make my own dream guitar come true .........again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Al,
I love ya man but your website really does little justice for your goods.

I can live with the rug but you need to fly Damon out for a little Photo training and talk serious with Wabbit/DVD/? about your website. It is holding you back.

Then have it ready in time for the OFC III!

Happy New Year, Al, and everyone else. Maybe someday, I'll get with it and appreciate something modern, but I tend to go the other way. Either oldies or RIs of the oldies lately. I'm glad these all sold, so I don't feel compelled to want it. The LAV Koa was about as radical as I get.

The OFC II with the new style slotted headstock and contour bowl is my dream guitar. I talked to Al about this I think as far back as OFC I. I doubt I'll ever see it as the days of spending money on guitars are long gone :(

Congrats Al.
Bittersweet I know.

Hopefully the new owner will step forward and be counted and then we can get an accurate listing of the 8 owners of this overly cool guitar.

That's the spirit! Most of us will drool longingly, but enough will step forward with money to make it worth your while.

No more for me.....the herd is full.

2010 will be the year of learning to play like I could 30 years ago.

Sara and I are still planning on being at the First Annual Black Hills Rocky Raccoon Memorial OFC gathering. If we pretend we didn't have room for guitars in the car, can we choose which loaner to play? ;)
