Are you fiendish about Kitty and that's why you're here? Love those great endorsees! I have always wanted an Ovation Guitar, ever since I saw my cousin's. I think he had an'86 collectors. I don't know if he still has that since his collection is constantly changing, and I now live in a different state, and don't see him very often. I started to take lessons when I was 8 years old learning to read music and such.Kinda dropped it around 16, and haven't touched a guitar in say around 20 years, due to my career in building fake fingernails competitively and traveling around the world. I won the championship, so I'm ready to cut off the nails and start playing. I have 2 guitars at my parents, buy I don't want to wait until they drive them down here some time next year. I just want something with good sound that is comfortable and easy to play, and I don't want junk.

Probably catch a buzz, too. The Ultra won't disappoint you at all. If you like a more edgy look, you might consider a 1778T which is also a great guitar and in the same price range. Personally I think the 2071 is a killer guitar for the money. Make sure they give you the case with the guitar for the same money. Let us know what you decide.

Controlling stray cat population is really a sign of a true animal lover. As for the Ultra, call Al. He's sure to have a bunch of nice O's in that price range.

I answered the guy in the flippant condescending manner that he addressed me. anyway when I put that auction up the KMI image server had the wrong pic. I never changed it so sue me. I sold about 5 of those guitars with the wrong pic and no one seemed to mind. anyway if you are interested in that guitar let me know I can close the auction and make a deal. they are a great value for the money

I bought an Ultra 2071 a couple weeks ago. It was a "scratch-n-dent" item, which in this case means it was a return, because I've looked carefully, and can't find a single scratch or dent. Ovation has discontinued this model, and because it was an "S&D" clearance item, I got it for $435. It's easily the best-sounding acoustic-electric (or plain acoustic) I've ever had, and I've been playing for more than 35 years. Perhaps it's not quite a Martin, but the sound is luscious, and it's darn close. Excellent workmanship. Good setup right out of the box. Gorgeous finish (mine is sunburst), very comfy neck, as I've come to expect from Ovation (I also have a T357 Tangent). For what I paid, it might be the bargain of a lifetime.
