Location: Mexico City | Hello,
I´d like to purchase one set of thomastik´s but unsure about light vs medium light
I have an Ovation Elite 1768 with Adamas 1818 light strings wich I love, but interested on testing these strings. I tune my guitar to 448 hz
So, I don´t know whether SB111 or SB112 fits better my neck, and the tension added for tunning to 448 hz.
SB111 lights
.011
.015
.024
.032
.043
.052
SB112 medium lights
.012
.016
.025
.035
.044
.054
Thanks in advance for the help |

Thanks for your opinion, it´s difficult to decide, because SB111 set is quite similar to the Adamas 1818, but some strings are a bit small, and the SB112 are a bit heavier.
Marenostroum,
It seems SB111 sound good despite of thin gauge, maybe I chhose them to not stress the top.
Bernie,
I´m tempted for elixiers, because it sounds happy in some guitars, but I felt disappointed when played a Taylor with them, thiny sound lack of sustain. Maybe on Ovations sound better. I´m going to purchase a set of 12, and a classic nylon Thomastiks also, because I´m very impressed with the sound of these strings on the bass. I listened on youtube videos.
Thanks to everybody, I will choose SB111.
