Most recent score was today, a 1990-7 serial number 45. Well, more of a rescue than a score, it was subject to some moister damage due to a flood, it was up high on a shelf, but still fell victim to the moister. A piece of the binding has broken off, and the fret board had started to lift from the neck, and some of the epaulets have also started coming lose from the top. right now, I have the neck off, the fret board off, and have removed the neck binding. With any luck I should be able to get this back to a playable instrument, it will never be a fully restored instrument, but it should be close. Oh, I forgot, I got it for $100.00 with hardshell Ovation case.

Epaulets where lifting off and curling in some places, the neck had some twist to it, and the was some binding on the neck that had broken off. I flat sanded the neck until the twist was gone, sanded down the back of the fretboard, and re-attached the neck binding. The frets where atrocious! used some heat and two flat pieces of steel to flatten out the pieces of epaulets that came off. re-attached the pieces, and got a small amount of super glue on the front of the guitar, gonna need some acetone for that. Anyway, leveled and crowned the frets, or at least what was left of them. I didn't glue the neck back down to the body, right now I am using a piece of U-Glu to hold it down. I know I'll have to take the neck off again, so why fight with more glue. I definitely needs a complete fret job, got some minor buzzing that I just don't have enough fret left to compensate for. So she is back together, but she will have a handicap parking permit for awhile, cause she ain't fully healed yet....playable, but not perfect.
