Another new fledgling joining the flock.
Have had an applause for a long while now and am just starting to play.....just!
A quick question.
Do some of the Ovation models have a wider nut width, to help with fat fingers?????

Cheers

Welcome Oldboots!

I don't know about Applauses, but several Ovation models have wider necks. Someone should be along soon who can get you to the main boards. Then you can post this question in the General section where there are many people more than willing to help you spend money on more guitars....

Cheers Patch,

I am thinking of either the Elite 2778AX-FKOA, or the Elite TX DS778TX.
But I wanted to check with people wiser and older about the nut width. Would be good if they did a wider nut, but which models?? Would save me a packet as well

Hi Oldboots,

You might like a Folklore.

That DS is a longneck (baritone), and the 2778 has a 1 11/16 nut which is the narrow sort. You might even check with Patch, he's got a nice Collector's for sale with a wider nut.

You're now a full fledged member, I'll bet you'd get some more responses over in the "General" section. Why don't you post your question there.

Before you get excited Oldboots, my Collector's for sale has the narrow nut, not the wide one I'm afraid. Still, a Folklore would suit you nicely, and used ones can be found with patience for good prices.

yep, look for a 6774LX or 2774LX if you can find one

or even wider is an old 6774 (non-LX). I'd personally go for the 1 3/4 LX model

Thanks for the replys chaps,

Have sent an email to the UK importers for a 6774lx. Quicker way to source than phoning all round the country.

Patience, patience
