Joined: January 2011 Posts: 32 | Hi i wanted to give you guys a chance at the mother of all fender amps. Its a redone , pristine 1967 Fender Showman w/ matching JBL 130 15" cab. This is an incredible amp that looks and sounds just like the day it rolled out of the factory. Fully restored original 1967 head and matching cab. Gone through and clean bill of health from John Nau in Rochester, NY , Sovteks are about 10 months old. 15" enclosed cab with JBL 130 85 watts Tilt legs Piggy back locks Built in vibrato and matching vibrato foot control switch $2200 shipped Forward Air inc. Boxed and palleted, delivered to your local Forward Air Inc. pickup site. (usually very close to your airport). You can also pick up locally for -$200 off my asking price. Will consider UPS if its not too much weight, size etc. will consider half in trade, the other half cash. Would love a hurricane, tornado, eclipse, any storm series. Vipers, preachers, breadwinner (white would be great) , also need a magnum bass neck and bridge/pu's. I mean , are you ever going to see another one this nice? dont let this one slip by. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() Edited by dan H. 2012-07-31 12:44 PM

It was created in an attempt to appease Dick Dale's thirst for louder and more powerful amps with headroom all the way to the top, and the JBL speaker was the best on the market, supposedly damage-proof, until Dick Dale got a hold of one and blew it apart. It wasn't enough, so Fender came out with the Dual Showman. I have a '65 Bandmaster twin 12 stack with almost identical controls (the Bandmaster does not have a midrange EQ pot) at half the power, and it was the perfect size for school dances in gymnasiums. I can't imagine how loud this beast can go. Hook up your '62 Jag through a '63 Reverb Unit, toss it and your surfboard into nice late 40's woodie or a VW bus, and you'd be set for life.

Original or not, it is a terrific looking amp from a bygone era when big Fender amps ruled, and this model was pretty much king of the jungle.

It looks cool and probably sounds killer but is not worth as much as an all-original example.
