One guitar I really want to buy is a mid to late 1970's 12 String Custom Legend in a Sunburst finish. I want a deep or maybe a mid bowl. I'm willing be pay a fair price or possibly work a trade (That would be up to the seller). Does anybody have anything they would be willing help me give it a new home?

I do have a 12 string Custom Legend Sunburst bought from Dave (Standingovation) about 5 years ago. If you know Dave, he is a perfectionist. It is a beautiful guitar which I have taken out of the case perhaps 2-3 times since I bought from him and sad to see it go wasted. Moreover, I am actually looking for an Ovation cutaway in nylon string such as 6773 cutaway. As I am getting older the width of the true Spanish classical guitars are getting more difficult to deal with. Had I known about your interest, I could have asked my son to take it with him when he was over in Korea during the winter break from US college. If you still have the urge after waiting around 6-12 months, please shoot me an e-mail. I may have my son visiting Korea again and he may be willing to take it back.

I would be more than willing to wait a few extra months for the right guitar. I would still be very interested in learning more about your guitar. pictures, age and price.

See - http://www.ovationtribute.com/Adamas_Models/04-Adamas_Other_Models/Adamas%20U681-T/Adamas%20U681-T.html. See the third pic down and you will see a "slotted headstock" (as opposed to http://www.ovationtribute.com/Adamas_Models/Adamas_II/Adamas_II_1681-8/Adamas_II_1681-8.html which is not slotted). You can find the pictures of the guitar in the www.ovationgallery.com and go to 12 string button on the left hand column of the website. BTW, I was less keen on just selling but trying to trade with a nylon string cutaway. But take a look at the pictures and it should be exactly same since I have not tuned nor played the guitar. It is in the original brown OHSC (case).

I've had a couple of the Custom Legends in both 6 and 12 string, with deep bowls, and I personally didn't think they projected the sound as much as an Elite style... Although they ARE the most stunningly beautiful guitars ever created. The Adamas 12 strings are by far the best playing and sounding of any make or model.

NOT MINE, of course ;-) Best, Alex
