Location: Caribou, ME | Yep. And given this is at LEAST a '76 then any hippie memorabilia left there must be from the heart and not just "bandwagon" stuff that would have been there in 1970 let's say.
I need to pry into Allison's brain again... or BEAL's. I say "BEAL! YOO HOO!" A few of these aluminum boarded ones have what I call 'non-frets' from the 15th on up. They are protrusions but do not have the same thickness and height of frets 1-14. Hard to describe but suffice to say frets beyond 15 are just there for looks. And yet unmolested. I haven't researched them to see if there's any date correlation, if they were early ones or limited to a date range. I haven't cracked this one open yet and there's only a 40% chance of finding a rubber stamped date anyway. It may be early because of the decided lack of nickel plating on the frets.
Gonna write a book some day, I swear. Nobody would BUY it but I'd write it anyway. |
