As a matter of fact, when OMA's Sweetwater came up on the calendar for February, I told myself, "that's my next guitar." Maybe someone here would also be interested? Don't know this guy, but he is obviously aware of the OFC... http://www.ebay.com/itm/Ovation-Sweetwater-2078-Elite-T-/221196829720?pt=Guitar&hash=item33805bc418

Thought it was priced to sell but guess no one has any extra cash lying around. It is on craigslist but I've passed up several buyers that were interested waiting on someone else to come up with the funds. Should have went with the first come first served rule. It sure is a sweet guitar but I have my eye on a newer but used 12 string at GC and cant afford both.

And once they are paid for and shipped, Al and the forum will get their cut.

In the Whole World! ![]() Oh no, now there are 2 of those little red guys on my shoulder! Damon, I like the single, simpler epaulet; personally. The T is a little aesthetically plain to me, and the single epaulet is just enough to spruce it up a little. The only feature of that guitar I don't already love is the contour bowl, and once again, Denver being the music Mecca it is, I haven't found one to try out.

It's not just the sweetwater T, they've done it to others. It's just a personal preference. I mean, at least make it an obvious shape, or change it to something more symmetrical like the Kaki King or Koa LAV. The undefined leafs don't look like anything but a blob, especially to someone in the audience that has no idea what it was supposed to be in the first place. To each his own. Maybe if Dave Kell drew on some leaf lines. Edited by Damon67 2013-03-14 12:39 PM

I have a couple Adamas models as well that I love too but my Sweetwater T is the one I keep out for a quick "Grab and Play". Mine has a koa Truss Rod Cover that matches the epaulet. It's just a very nice guitar and a ton of people have commented on how great it looks. Dwg preacher -Forget about the Koa poop comment. Maybe Damon needs a new dog. -Work w Mary to get a deal done. You won't regret it. Maybe it takes 3 months to get it in your hands....so what. If you let this one go...when will you come across another?...and for a reasonable price too! Just do it!

I'd be happy to add any embellishments desired by anyone on their Ovation. I'll have to hold onto it for close to a month while the paint fully cures before shipping it back. Also, the vibrations of it being played often during that time will help congeal the paint onto the surface. As per other offers of my services here in the past, all work done free of charge.

I have coveted this guitar since I first saw and heard them last year - I think on OMA's videos or in some of his pics. I made do with an 1868T for a bit (all good and still have), but the "Sweet T" was a grail for me, now ALMOST realized. Also liking the "koa-poo" (brilliant bit of descriptive verbalization) and wondering how to find a matching truss rod cover.

Try the Krunchy Koa Kibble & Bits. MWoody is the kustom Koa TRC wizard.
