Hey all.
My name's Marc. I'm a 21 year old college student and a gigging musician, and I'm here because I love ovation guitars! Not just any, however. I love the old models, the 70's balladeers and legend models. These were guitars I was exposed to for years and fell in love with. I'm here now because I am just about ready to purchase a fine vintage Ovation and I was looking for some guidance (and maybe someone to sell me a guitar!).

Personally, I like the 1612 and the 1617 models, but I also recently fell in love with the 1982-8. I'm also keen on learning more about the guitars.

Thanks all!

I like the look of the older models better, from what I've seen, at least. The Adamas are gorgeous no matter what era. I saw that ovation is making a korean "vintage balladeer" reissue, but for a street price of $850, I could get a vintage usa in decent shape...

Before you spend that much for a Korean Balladeer you should definitely shop for a used USA.
You will be glad that you did.
