At least you didn't get it as strong as Fort St. John. There the temperature dropped from -2C to -22C in less than 12 hours. Wind chill took the apparent temp. to -52. At that point you have to stand on one leg when P'ing outdoors so you can kick over the icicles as it falls. ......................................... Looks like you actually got a touch more than we did.

Up to 7" now and it is still coming down. Made a pass with the snow shovel at about 5" and it is already filling up again. Most of my neighbors don't even own a snow shovel. They are out using brooms and rakes, but it is so wet and heavy, you can't make much progress.

But I work on the other side of "the Mountain", and I bet that they will have snow over there. Whenever this stuff happens, it is wet and nasty where I get-up and get on the Light Rail. But once I head west, I will come outta the tunnel and there will be snow. It is supposed to snow more tonight. I'm kinda looking forward to it. (But tomorrow, I will probably be running around fixing people's furnaces.... That will make them Happy! :D ]

I'd rather have the snow.

Maybe by tomorrow, but so far so clear on this side of the tunnel. now about that furnace service! ;) half the time it works fine, the other half, 7 led flashes on the board after 3 gas ignitions, shuts down for an hour. gas looks good. thinking thermocouple/flame-sensor or logic board. woke up the other morning and it was 56 inside, brrrr!!
