They sent this ad to me. Can't remember the last time an Ovation was the headliner from one of my music spammers...

"Straight From NAMM" ad

Gotta wonder if the FMIC marketing machine had anything to do with that.

Good point Bobbo, we may be seeing more of that in the future.

still haven't seen them feature a Made in USA Ovation or Adamas.. unless they're blowing out old stock..

maybe they should use the celebs and applauses and make them part of the Squier line...

at least then there would at least appear to be a separation from the REAL Ovation guitars.

unfortunately the general public only gets the chance to experience these, as the box-stores and wood snobs usually base and assign their incorrect assumptions and reviews of Ovations on these entry-level models.

JMO tho..

Was in GC last night looking for a guitar for a friend... virtually EVERY Ovation was on clearance. Hardly any selection, half of them were on a clearance display right in front of the door (including a 1778T for $450, but the bridge was lifting).
Picked him up a 6778LX for $550 (no case).

Ironically, the most expensive O's they had were a used early 90's Elite ($800) and a Patriot ($1000) neither of which was in great shape.

That seems like a good deal for the 6778LX
