I'm sure I've seen something similar before, so it'll ring a bell with someone here who knows things.

It's the soundhole rosette that I remember... One sec, I'm going to search this site and the archives for Aztec.

Bingo. Aztec didn't work, but "triangle" did eventually... I just remembered that inlay from ages ago.

It's not the same one (no big blue sticker in the bowl), but I think it's the same sort. I would say from the previous discussion (which was interesting to read words I have no recollection of writing...) that it's not a USA one, but from Korea.

I don't think it's an import. The back of the headstock looks like it's a multipiece neck, and the serial number is six digit beginning with 5, making it less than ten years old. However, the preamp is an OP-24+, which I don't think I have ever seen on a Legend or an Elite, just Balladeers and Standard Elites. Looks to me like someone's project or a custom guitar. Odd!

I thought it was "Collector's" from a bunch of years back . . .I seem to remember seeing one of those on the "Collectors' Wall" back at the Factory . . .

I thought it might be like a '94 -'95 or some such collector's.. each had radically different rosette's.... and I did vaguely remember a discussion about the this rosette but, neither '94/95 are triangular, motifs.

I remember that rosette, too. But that's as close as I get.

It's either a Celeb or Ultra. We had a discussion on these 4-5 years ago. I played one in a music store once. It looked better than it sounded......

The guitar in the other link above, clearly labelled Celebrity, also has what appears to have a multi piece neck.

Also, the guitar in your link has the serial number on a little silver sticker - I always thought this was the mark of a non-USA one.

The celebs I have are all silver-stickered, and the Elite 1858 and Viper I have from USA are stamped on the back of the headstock. I really thought that was the qualifier, but I may be wrong...

Why no pic of the front of the headstock? I seem to recall that this is a korean made celeb. Other than that, looks good.
