OP-24+c or Optima
Thoughts?
Advantages disadvantages??
any other potential models.
I mostly want the tuner.
Right now sound wise I am happy with the OP-24

IMHO the Optima is the best preamp they made so far. The tuner on the +C works well if you don't need all the notch filters and such.

You'd be even happier with the Optima.

The only problem I have with the Optima is I can't see those tiny little letters on the tuner. I usually just use my Korg.

I know Mr. Rickard was the electronics guy for the solid bodies (Deacon, the first production guitars ever made with powered pickups in the world) but how much did he have to do with the electronics on these acoustics we all use?

xcuse me, but doesn't the thunderbolt have a smaller version of the op24 than most others? That is, a little thinner from top to bottom? Could just be my eyesight....
