I travel a great deal and have been on a search for a decent sounding and very portable speaker for my iPhone when I travel without my laptop... as I like to listen to assorted PodCasts and Audiobooks and not be restricted to earbuds...

Finely found it....

Sony SRS-TP1

Powered by the player, it uses no power adapters or batteries, It's about the size of a larger cellphone and the "spoken word" sound quality is very good, while the musical sound is tolerable (remember we're tawkin' bout sumth'n that fits in your front pocket here). The build quality is quite good as well.

A couple states further south they would just call him A Fugitive.

Jeff, doesn't that tend to wipe out the iputz* battery quite a bit faster?

* I can mock them, as I also own one. I plug it into my bike's audio system when riding... headphones in my helmet, dontcha know...

It doesn't suck the life out of the battery as quickly as you two have sucked the life outta me...

That being said, I'm usually "charging" the phone while in the hotel room... or cell.

(played it for 2 hours with only slightly more than usual drain)

Kinda makes me feel like I've contributed something to make the world a better place, after all.

I found a similar device at the Dollar Store for my ipod. Works the same as that Sony thing. Guess how much I paid for it?
