The teenage me thought the 30 year old Suzanne was the single most desirable woman on the planet.

Not really OT - I've got an Adamas on my lap.

I enjoyed her immensely on the Bob Newhart show. Funny lady and a good actress.

I think that the finale of Newhart's 2nd show (where he "wakes up" in his 1st show) was a stroke of sheer genius . . .

Agreed. The story is that Newhart came up with that premise, called her and her response was "If I was in Timbuktu, I would fly in for that." Her husband, Tom Poston who past away last year, was another comic genius. The subtle looks of bewilderment and bone dry deivered lines killed me every time.

And I'm guilty of the teenaged crush myself. And she looked great at 70 too.

The Bob Newhart show was an absolute classic and Suzanne Pleshette was very funny, talented, and beautiful. She will be missed.

On the subject of Newhart, did anyone catch the special on HBO about Don Rickles? He and Newhart are best friends, and Newhart shares some funny stories.

Rickles tells a story of when he was just starting out and had met Frank Sinatra. Don was out with his mother and other family members and spots Sinatra at another table. He goes up to Frank and asks him if he would come over to the table and say hello to him as he knew his mother would be impressed. Sinatra agrees, and goes over to Rickles' table 10 minutes later and says hello. Rickles starts yelling at Sinatra "Hey Frank! We're trying to eat here for ------ sakes! what the hell is wrong with you!"

Sorry to go off the topic, but I thought it was a funny story.

Had more than a few of "those" dreams about her, especially that voice! She was one of the classiest ones.

I didn't watch much TV then and didn't care too much for the show, but if she was on screen I couldn't look away... as said before, very classy.
