Hi Vic. His name is Chevy. He is an intensely curious guy. My other cat (Wee-wee-kins) is a musician and often jumps up on the couch when I'm playing - - and then plucks the E-string a couple of times. She is very groovy and favors Ovations (of course).

I was wondering, do the mice prefer contour or round bowl? I have a dog that loves to hang out at my feet when I'm playing. The rest of my family usually beats it to a quiet area of the house... :p

Hello Vic - no, actually Chevy is named for the Chevrolet Automobile, and Wee-wee-kins is taken from a "wee"-little bit, and 'kin from munchkin (the elfin creatures in the Wizard of Oz). Do you have any pets? It seems to me that my animals have always liked it when I play - (they're not a very critical audience you know.)

-Auchen.

Hello Geardaddy - THAT'S why dogs are man's best friend : They never criticize! But is it true that animals seem to like guitar. (as long as you don't plug in.) . . BTW I would speculate that mice like contour bowls better -(non-traditionalists)- but I guess now I'll just have to run out and buy a guitar with contour bowl to test my theory. I'm sure my wife will understand.

Our dog, a rescued Springer, was afraid of my guitar for years. She wouldn't even go in the same room with it. It was a great tool if we wanted to keep the dog out of a room. After I started playing more and acquiring more, she outgrew her fear.
She's still afraid of umbrellas and tape measures, though.
The cat, as Waskel can attest, has no fear of guitars.
