I'm curious as to why the S.N. on my 1981 Legend just states Moddel 1117, and is not followed by a dash and number. It is a sunburst, so I would think that it would be a 1117-1. Is this just a reference guide, and if so, why does my 1978 Anniversary have a model number stating the finish color? It has a model number inside of 1157-7. (Antique Brown)

My guess would be... they didn't always put the finish code on the labels. I've seen a lot of labels that only had the model#.
