Hey Serge,

That's great news! Congratulations. I didn't know you you were even in the market for a 1537. Maybe you talked about it here and I just missed it. Anyway, that's fantastic; ejoy it brother.

1537 is still a front runner for me for best sounding O's...

Enjoy...

... between the narrow nutwidth and neck profile, I found it very cramped through the first 5 frets...

Jeff, I'm in agreement with you on the narrowness. That's why I don't have one anymore. Great sounding guitars though.

I'm amazed at how different the rounder neck profile on the 47's at the same nut width, feel so much more "roomy". Profile makes a huge difference.

(though the wider, rounder FD14 neck is the donkey's balls)

I'm with Jeff on FUD. It gets the play time around here. I pick up the 1537 from time to time to remind myself how great it sounds.

See, I knew Jeff would remind me of why I have sold 3 of one of Ovations best woodtops.

I agree how the 47RI feels much bigger than the neck profile. Everything I have been acquiring lately has to have the 1 3/4" neck as a minimum.

The Lowden (o25) has a suh-weet-assed 1-3/4" nut with a neck profile very similar to the Fudd. Luv-it.

I believe my Lowden S25 also has the 1 3/4" neck.

Love the feel of it.
